Advisory Committee

Many education-related organizations have an interest in compensation alternatives for educators. The missions of these organizations differ, but all share a common interest in student achievement. As a part of this project, the Advisory Committee serves three purposes:

• Make it easier for efforts at the grassroots to reach out for advice, resources and connections to inform the learning that takes place;
• Facilitate flow of information to and among the advisory committee participants; and
• Reduce anxieties and suspicions.

In addition to the three purposes listed above the Advisory Committee has also served as an informal point of contact on dialogue surrounding Alternative Teacher Compensation. Additionally, members of the Advisory Committee have joined forces to present their views of this topic at Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and California School Boards Association (CSBA) conferences.
