The EACH ApproachVideoBackgroundFull Circle Fund's Education Circle knew that the year 2010 would be a pivotal and challenging time for California's education system. With the possibility of a California Constitutional Convention on the horizon, and the race for Governor in full swing, the year marked a key opportunity to drive awareness of important options for change in education policy. For those reasons, Full Circle Fund's Systemic Change Project Team developed a synthesis of the most important policy levers for improving California's capacity to close achievement gaps and better serve students. MissionThe "EACH" approach was created to support leaders at the forefront of education improvement, beginning in 2010 and for years beyond. Full Circle Fund RoleThe Systemic Change team members formed a sub-project team to articulate policy priorities under the theme of "EACH". This is an importantly new way of thinking about what success means in education. Education cannot be merely effective on average. It must be designed to work for each student, each teacher, each school, and each community. The implications of this shift in thinking are significant. The team developed a set of non-partisan examples of policy implications, building on the best research, analysis, and community input of the past decade.
