Her most recent full-time position was as CEO of Dr. McDougall's Right Foods, Inc. Karen is currently contributing her management and marketing experience in the non-profit realm. She is a member of the Steering Committee for Harvard Business School's Community Partners Program, which provides pro bono consulting to Bay Area non-profits. She also serves on the board of directors of Hope Street Group, a bipartisan organization that develops policies that enhance economic opportunity. Jennifer Anastasoff

Denise Aptekar

Denise is the Director of Risk Management Strategy at PayPal. Her past roles at PayPal were in content and product management, the latest one being the Director of Product Management for Consumer Protections and Risk Management. Denise led PayPal's early efforts to allow consumers to use their bank accounts to fund online payments. She was responsible for building the bank funded payment model, as well as an accompanying patented risk model that assesses the risk of instant online bank payments. She also was part of the team that designed a patented system for building an online dispute resolution system that allows buyers and sellers to work out their transaction related complaints directly with one another. Prior to PayPal, Denise worked on PlanetWeb's parental control software which enabled parents to limit what websites their children could access online. Previously she was the Content Manager for eDaycare.com, a start up whose goal was to place webcams in daycare centers so that parents could watch their children remotely during the day. Denise is active in a range of volunteer and philanthropic activities. She completed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Leadership Development Program, has interned with Senator Barbara Boxer and at the American Jewish Committee's National Office in Washington, D.C. and is a member of the San Francisco Jewish Community Endowment Fund's Young Funders' Forum. Denise enjoys participating in intellectual and political discourse, hiking and traveling. Denise earned her B.A. from Stanford University in Political Science.

Timothy Arnold

After living in 7 states over the past 12 years, Andrew Bartlow relocated to San Francisco in 2007 in what he hopes will be his final move. He currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Wachovia Bank, supporting over 5000 team members across the Western US, and is now deeply involved in the Wells Fargo merger. The son of Midwestern educators and entrepreneurs, Andrew has held a number of recruitment and HR leadership roles within several start-ups and some of the world's largest organizations, including General Electric and Pepsi. He received a B.A. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, attended the Graduate School of Labor and Employment Relations as an Ingersoll Rand Corporate Fellow, sits on the Alumni Board of that program, and currently holds a SPHR certification. Andrew is a co-founder of Wachovia Volunteers in the Bay Area, serves on the California Advisory Council of the BizWorld Foundation, and when he is not volunteering, he sails, skis, and competes in beach volleyball tournaments. Andrew strongly believes in engaged philanthropy, and hopes to use his skills in strategic planning, leadership development, org design, and change management to further strengthen the support that the Full Circle Fund provides to its grantees.

Hannah Bascom

Hannah Bascom is currently in a leadership rotational program at Pacific Gas & Electric Program. Her first rotation has been in the Customer Energy Solutions Group where she manages PG&E's low income program as well as the governance process for PG&E's energy efficiency products. Hannah graduated in 2010 from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, where she concentrated in Strategy, Economics, General Management and Entrepreneurship. Prior to business school, Hannah worked at two nonprofits in Boston. First at Citizen Schools, a leading national educational reform organization, where she ran a Master's Program for the organization's Fellowship. Afterwards, Hannah spent a year managing an entrepreneurship program at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, which promotes economic development in cities through private sector engagement. Hannah grew up in Sunapee New Hampshire, which has 2,500 people and one stop light. Ironically, she concentrated in Urban Studies at Brown University, where she graduated in 2005 with a BA with Honors.

Matt Bauer

Sophia Belloli

Nicole Bien

Nicole currently conducts comparative research on summative and formative assessment data use and its impact on student achievement in the U.S. and in Australia through the University of Sydney. Her other research interest focuses on inclusive education. Nicole's Ph.D. research interest combines her business experience, and passion for educating disadvantaged student population, which began with her non-profit involvement as a school tutor, board, advisory and executive committee member with the Mountain View/Los Altos school district, Fresh Lifeline for Youth, and Resource Area for Teachers. Prior to immersing herself in academic research, Nicole spent over a decade managing brand and product marketing, market research and operations for multinational companies. She created and launched multiple industry-leading behavioral targeting products that brought in new and profitable revenue streams. She also launched Y! Local, Y! Answer and Y! Translator globally. At General Motors, she launched a brand campaign for the first American auto joint venture in China. Leveraging the strong brand equity that Nicole helped build, and guided by the market insights of her team, GM built China's first domestic luxury vehicle along with a global car for the neighboring emerging markets, a major revenue contribution to GM's overall business today. Nicole holds a MA in Education from the University of Sydney, MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Yale University.

Radha Blackman

Anne's global health experience includes consulting for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and working at the Population Reference Bureau in Washington, DC. Before PATH, Anne worked on the evaluation of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Library Program, assessing the impact of public access computing on low-income communities. Anne holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Sociology, Phi Beta Kappa, from the Pennsylvania State University.

Michelle Branch

Stephen Bronstein

Steve is the Chief Operating Officer at IODA, a digital music distributor for independent record labels. Steve has been involved with digital music for over eighteen years, starting at Media Touch / Media Digital Systems, where he oversaw manufacturing of the Media Touch studio automation product line. In 1996, Steve founded WebYes, Inc, an industry pioneer Application Service Provider acquired by Breakaway Solutions in 1999. Jordan Brophy-Hilton

Jordan is the Director of Program Engagement for the New Teacher Center, a national non profit dedicated to accelerating the effectiveness of new teachers. Prior to joining NTC, Jordan worked as an administrator in the Curriculum and Assessment department for the Chicago Public Schools, and taught first grade as a Teach for America corps member. At NTC, Jordan directs the expanding pipeline of NTC clients, working directly with state and district superintendents and other leadership to implement the NTC approach to new teacher support. Jordan also oversees RFP, contract and grant efforts for new client partnerships. Jordan has a BS from Syracuse University and a Masters in Education from Harvard University.

In addition, he served on Redwood City's Housing & Human Concerns Committee. Recently, Andrew traveled to rural Cameroon to build houses with a Habitat for Humanity Global Village team. Harrison Dillon

Harrison Dillon is the President, Chief Technology Officer, and co-founder of Solazyme. Dr. Dillon is a pioneer and thought leader in the renewables field. He and Jonathan Wolfson started Solazyme in their Palo Alto garage at a time when few in Silicon Valley had heard of the concept of biofuels. From garage startup to a sector leader, Dr. Dillon has guided the company's renewable oil production technology development through numerous phases. In 2010 Dr. Dillon was the highest ranked scientist in Biofuels Digest's "Top 100 People to Know in Bioenergy." He is an inventor on over 30 of Solazyme's patents and patent applications. Dr. Dillon's scientific training in the field of microbial genetics began in the Microbiology and Immunology Department at Emory University. His later research was performed in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Utah, where he received his Ph.D. in genetics. Dr. Dillon went on to manage the biotechnology patent portfolio of the University of Utah in the University's Technology Transfer Office. She has traveled in more than 25 countries, volunteering in microfinance in India, with the handicapped in Cambodia, and in the earthquake crisis in El Salvador. She was also a co-founder of VolunteerMatch, and an avid "Dukie." On the side, she loves improv, performing at Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City, and BATS. Number one in her life is family, and one of her greatest joys is taking care of her nephews and niece.

Before joining PG&E, Mr. Hornbrook was the Director of worldwide support and services for a technology company located in Foster City, California.

In 1997 she sold the company and transitioned FULL CIRCLE back to education in the not-for-profit sector. She founded Bring Me A Book Foundation to further develop and expand the employee benefit program started in the manufacturing company, Bring Me A Book, which provided book bags for parents to take home daily and read to their children - creating the daily ritual of reading aloud to their children. Because many of the employees were English Language Learners, audio recordings were provided so parents could improve their English skills alongside of their children. Judy presently serves on the Board and supports their mission to provide easy access to the best children's books and educate parents to be their child's First Teacher so that children will be prepared to enter Kindergarten ready and eager to learn to read and be successful in school and life. She is a member of the Honorary Board of Global Heritage Fund and the National Council of the American Prairie Foundation.

Steven holds one US patent and has seven pending patents from his leadership of Ingenio's product team. Prior to Ingenio, Steven held a variety of management roles at Microsoft from 1993-1999. Tanya Clark Marston is passionate about finding and implementing entrepreneurial solutions to help nonprofits achieve scale and maximize their impact. Currently, she works for Wells Fargo as a Marketing Program Manager for their Family Wealth Group. She worked with The San Francisco Foundation for over three years as a Program Consultant on strategic planning, public/private partnership initiatives, and business development strategies. Before consulting to the Foundation, Tanya did grantmaking and worked on a number of special projects including co-authoring a national report on Race and Economic Development. Prior to her work in philanthropy, Tanya was the Assistant Director of Extended Education at California College of the Arts, where she was responsible for program, marketing, and budget management. She has served on the Bay Area Advisory Board of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) and is currently a Board Member and Fundraising Chair of Streetside Stories, a literacy arts nonprofit working with underserved youth. While in business school at the University of California, Davis, Tanya was the Director of Community Outreach for the Davis Net Impact Club and managed the Board Fellows Program, a program that connects MBA students to nonprofit boards. A native of Allentown, PA, Tanya holds a bachelors in American Studies from Trinity College, Hartford, CT.

Trina Martynowicz

Trina Martynowicz's diverse professional background spans a wide range of environmental professions, including environmental science, policy, and engineering. Such efforts include promoting clean technologies to further reduce air emissions, overseeing air emission controls for highly emitting sources, creating national policy in cleaning up highly contaminated sites, and removing harmful pesticides from the U.S. market. She currently works at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in San Francisco in the Clean Energy and Climate Change Office overseeing a national partnership between Federal, state, and local governments and private industries to enhance and expedite innovative clean technologies aimed to reduce regional air pollutants and greenhouse gases in California's worst air quality areas. In addition, she works in the transportation sector with the West Coast Collaborative, a voluntary public-private partnership to reduce diesel fuel use though various tools and partnerships. Trina previous professional experiences include working at the EPA in Washington DC to set regulation and guidance to cleanup the nation's most contaminated Federal properties. Her efforts also led to the creation of unprecedented national policies to minimize adverse environmental impacts of pollution to Native American Indians and environmental justice communities. In additional to her activities with Full Circle Fund, Trina serves on the Board of the Young Professionals in Energy, a non-profit that provides a forum for education, networking and career development for professionals in the energy industry throughout the Bay Area. As a California native, Trina received Bachelors degrees in Environmental Science and Politics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and as a lover of the Big Apple, received a Masters degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University.

Salvador Menjivar is the Executive Director of OneCalifornia Foundation, a non-profit organization promoting economic development for low income individuals and small business in Oakland and the Bay Area. In his position Mr. Menjivar has spearheaded numerous initiatives and program to improve the Oakland community. He developed the Community Home Loan Fund, to help advocate for borrowers in the process of foreclosure. He has also led the Foundation in the creation of a program to provide financial education and free checking & savings account for the under banked. Mr. Menjivar has promoted support for emerging business in Oakland and directed OneCalifornia Foundation in the acquisition and growth of a program that provides small business in Oakland the opportunity to sell over the internet. The program, Oaklandunwrapped.org now provides over 100 small businesses with a marketplace to sell on line, as well as educates and encourages shoppers to support local businesses, which strengthens our community. Mr. Menjivar has been in positions of leadership in the private and nonprofit sectors for over fifteen years. While attending school in New York he helped launch an import-export company brokering and selling organic foods from Latin America. He has also directed political campaigns on behalf of the California Democratic Party. Most recently he served as Executive Director of Hamilton Family Center in San Francisco. Salvador has also served on governmental commissions in the Cities of San Francisco and Berkeley. He has volunteered his time on many Boards of Directors in the Bay Area -including the Mission Area Federal Credit Union, as President and Treasurer. He holds a degree in Economics from New York based New School University and an M.B.A from the University of San Francisco. Salvador has recently received several awards, including a local award from the Full Circle Fund for innovation, and a National Achievement Award from the National Alliance to End Homelessness for his work on ending homelessness for families and children.

Before joining The Nature Conservancy in 1999, she was Executive Director of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. She also worked at The Conservation Fund, the Foundation for Research on Economics and the Environment, the California Resources Agency, and U.S. Forest Capital. Wendy serves on the board of the California Council of Land Trusts and the Advisory Board for Save the Redwoods League. She was past co-chair of the Silicon Valley Chapter of Net Impact, a network of leaders committed to using business to create sustainable solutions. Outside of her conservation career, she is founding partner of Gallop Ventures LLC a leadership and coaching business that offers equine-guided programs to individuals, teams, families, and corporations. In addition, she serves on the advisory board of The Flag Foundation and Personal Ponies, two nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing the partnership between humans and horses. She holds an A.B. in English and American Literature from Harvard and completed graduate work in Urban and Environmental Planning at University of Virginia, Geography at UCLA, and Resource Economics at University of Washington.

Deborah Mintz

Deborah Mintz is the Director of Development for NewSchools Venture Fund, a national venture philanthropy that funds and supports entrepreneurs who provide underserved children with outstanding K-12 public education. Prior to joining NewSchools, Deborah was the Director of Foundation Relations for the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and a volunteer leader at the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, where she chaired grant making to Israel and overseas communities and worked to strengthen the relationship between this hundred-year old Jewish community philanthropy and Bay Area synagogues. Before moving with her family to the Bay Area, Deborah had a career in land use planning and community development in New York. Deborah attended Smith College and Yale University. She holds an Ed M. in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard.

Shannon Nessier

Mr. Joshua Neubert a passionate leader in non-profit management with over 8 years of experience in various not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Neubert currently serves as the Executive Director of the Conrad Foundation overseeing the Spirit of Innovation Awards program - a challenge to high school students to design innovative products using science, technology, and entrepreneurship. Mr. Neubert worked with the X PRIZE Foundation as the Manager of New Mexico State Affairs. During his three years at the X PRIZE, he oversaw a team of 500 volunteers and organized the educational programs of the X PRIZE Cup event gathering over 12,000 K-12 students for various educational aerospace experiences. Mr. Neubert received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Planetary Science from MIT in 2003 and 2004. In 2001, during his time at university, he took on his first non-profit role, leading the "Students for the Exploration and Development of Space." After leaving Boston, Mr. Neubert continued his career as a research scientist studying lunar resource utilization at the University of Hawaii. Mr. Neubert now dedicates his time and effort to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and create the great solutions that are shaping our future.

Margi grew up in San Francisco, attended Bowdoin College in Maine, and was a charter corps member with Teach For America in 1990. After teaching, she obtained a Master's in Education Policy from Stanford and subsequently worked at The Learning Company creating educational software and online homework tools before following a boss to eProNet, a career development software start-up. She retired from work in 2000 to stay home with her two children who are now in fifth and eighth grades. Since 2000, Margi has been actively volunteering in her children's schools, heading up the Hillsborough Schools Foundation and chairing strategic planning committees for both the Foundation and the Junior League of San Francisco. She completed the Leadership Program for San Mateo/Hillsborough/Burlingame/Foster City in 2005. Currently, she serves on the San Mateo Public Library Foundation Board, is a grade level advisor for National Charity League, and serves on her middle school parent group board. Margi is also busy campaigning as a candidate for the Hillsborough City School Board (the election is November 8th).

Before transitioning to corporate philanthropy, she managed audience development and marketing at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Andrea holds a B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is completing her M.N.A. in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. During his eight-year military career, Joe Ross served as Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for the fleet component of the U.S. Southern Command and was responsible for leading security cooperation programs in Latin America. A Truman Scholar and a fellow of the Truman National Security Project, Ross holds a BA from Yale and a JD from Stanford Law School, where he was 59th President of the Stanford Law Review. Joe is also the parent of three children, ages 14, 9 and 7.

From 2002 to 2007, he was the Development Director & Senior Staff Producer at Access SF - Cable Channels 29/76, the nonprofit that manages community access cable television for the City and County of San Francisco. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of fund raising, marketing and business development and regularly developed quality television programming with local nonprofits partners. From 1995-2001, he was the President/Founder of Turbulent Arts, Inc., an international film and television company that served as a producer, distributor and sales agent for quality independent films from around the world. Notably, the company released LILIES, the film by John Greyson that won the Canadian Genie (Oscar) for Best Picture. In 1998, Turbulent Arts was ranked the 26th largest film company in the United States entertainment market, the 14th among independents (Source: The Hollywood Reporter.) Elsewhere in his career, Smolowitz has served as Executive Director of Petaluma Community Access TV, Programming Coordinator at the San Francisco International Film Festival, Founding Programmer at the Sacramento Festival of Cinema, among other key positions in the media, film, television and not-for-profit space.

Bob is the President and CEO of Mobile Iron, a venture-backed start-up company located in Menlo Park, California. Investors include Norwest Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Storm Ventures. Prior to MobileIron, Bob led the Business Development team for Cisco's enterprise wireless (WiFi) business unit and service provider wireless (WiMax) business unit, a combined $1B business for Cisco. Before Cisco, Bob was one of the first executives and served as the Vice President of Business Development for Airespace, Inc. In March 2005, Cisco Systems acquired Airespace. Prior to joining Airespace, he served as Director of Marketing and as a Product Manager at Vertical Networks, a Voice over IP company funded by Kleiner Perkins and Accel Partners. Before joining Vertical, he served as vice president at NationsBank (now Bank of America), with experience in IT, sales, product management, and operations. Tinker is a member of the Foundation Board of Trustees for the recently opened 10th campus of University of California campus at Merced. Adam Traeger-Hirschfelder

Program Officer Adam Hirschfelder has a broad range of experience in the nonprofit, government, and philanthropic sectors with particular expertise in the development of public-private partnerships. His Koret portfolio includes youth development programs as well as grants to select community organizations and arts groups. Prior to joining Koret, Adam launched and directed the Public Health Institute's Rx:Volunteer project, one of the first efforts nationally to promote volunteerism and civic engagement among older adults and retiring boomers in health care settings. His research will be featured in a book on altruism to be published by Oxford University Press in 2007. Before that, Adam was Associate Director, Public Affairs, at the Corporation for National and Community Service, the parent agency of the AmeriCorps program and other National Service initiatives. Before serving in the federal government, Adam held business development positions at Sylvan Learning Systems and Scholastic Inc. At Scholastic, Adam also directed the company's strategic philanthropy portfolio. He received his M.A. in Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University and graduated with departmental honors from Northwestern University. Adam is active in a range of Jewish activities in the San Francisco Bay Area. He completed the American Jewish Committee's Young Leadership Institute, participated in American Jewish World Service delegations from the Bay Area to Africa and South America, and is a member of the San Francisco Jewish Community Endowment Fund's Young Funders Forum. As Program Manager at SVT Group, Amie developed an "SROI Lite" calculator tool that provides a consistent mechanism by which organization staff may assess the potential impact and return on investment of disparate programs. The tool has been made a part of SVT's core product suite. While at SVT, Amie was also responsible for managing a team of interns, managing the co-working space, creating marketing materials, developing new business, and recruiting. As an Associate Consultant with Bain & Company, Amie worked with Fortune 500 and nonprofit clients on critical business issues in the healthcare, retail, and utilities spaces. She focused on growth strategy, cost reduction and organizational performance improvement. While at Bain she also founded and led a Green Team for the 300-employee San Francisco office, which achieved significant strides in reducing the company's carbon footprint. At green media company, Green Zebra, Amie refined the venture's sustainable savings guides, built and managed relationships with local businesses, and was instrumental in the development of corporate, government and small business sponsorships. Amie graduated phi beta kappa with a B.S. with high honors from Brown University. She is fluent in Spanish. She writes for TriplePundit, GreenBiz, NextBillion and Sustainable Industries about green business, social and eco-entrepreneurship, and other bright ideas. She is a member of Full Circle Fund's Environment Circle, on the New Leaders Council's Advisory Board, founding member of The Hub and spoke at Net Impact 2009 about finding a green job.

Sarah Whitelaw

At Wellington, Sarah was responsible for business development and relationship management with West Coast investment consultants to large corporate and public pension plans, endowments and foundations. Sarah Wigglesworth

Sarah is the Co-Chair of the Global Economic Opportunity Circle. She has been interested in global issues since a high-school exchange trip to China, and in economic opportunity since personally participating in the first years of economic transition after the collapse of the Soviet bloc. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2007, Sarah has gotten more interested in local and community issues, and is very excited about the GEO Circle's three initial projects. Sarah worked as a management consultant for 10 years, with a focus on strategy and organizational performance. She has also worked in IT business development in Central Europe and venture finance in Central Asia. Sarah holds an AB in Soviet Studies from Harvard/Radcliffe Colleges and an MIA in International Business from SIPA at Columbia University. Clayton Yee

His nonprofit background includes work in education, environment, and workforce development at JVS, St. Anthony Foundation, YMCA, and San Francisco Nature Education. He has also run a currency trading firm. Clayton's experience has instilled an appreciation and understanding of the challenges in creating impact in the social sector and heightened his interest in drawing on the best ideas from both the business world and non-profit sectors to more effectively create social impact. He received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. A native of San Francisco, Clayton loves to travel the world, but still finds himself rooted in the City by the Bay.

Amy Zucchero

Amy Zucchero is currently the Member Services Director for the Women's Funding Network, a global association of 135 women's foundations with offices in San Francisco, CA. She joined the Network in January 2004 after completing her Masters in Public Administration at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During her tenure, Women's Funding Network's membership has grown over 25 percent. Amy is actively involved in designing and delivering capacity building services, including leadership retreats and technical assistance grants. Prior to joining WFN, Amy worked with several non-profit organizations focused on social justice including the Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence in Ventura County, California and Tapestry Health in Northampton, Massachusetts. From 2004- 2006, Amy sat on the San Francisco, National Women's Political Caucus board of directors. She spends her free time exploring San Francisco's foggy neighborhoods, hoping to land in the sunny part of town, reading and fiddling with knitting needles.
