Membership

Full Circle Fund members are uniquely driven individuals who share the following key qualities:

Cause – Members have a passion for working for social change in one of our focus areas: education, environment, affordable housing or technology.

Commitment – Members are committed to developing an understanding of local issues and working with community leaders, policy experts and social-sector professionals to implement breakthrough strategies for social change. Working in teams, they give their skills and expertise by engaging in hands-on projects with our grantees.

Capacity – Full Circle Fund's engaged philanthropy model pairs donations of time and money for maximum impact on the community. The minimum annual contribution is based on each individual's ability to give, as determined by employment sector:

  • Private sector: between $5,000 and $25,000 annually.
  • Public and nonprofit sector: $1,000+ annually or may apply for our Community Fellows Program.

If you don't have the time, but would still like to support Full Circle Fund, consider investing or sponsoring an event.

What to Expect

As a member, you'd work in a team environment with other members - community leaders, policy experts and social-sector professionals - to implement breakthrough strategies for social change.

In general, members are expected to attend as many of our bi-monthly All-Member Meetings as possible, as well as an annual Member Retreat**, the annual Forum**, and our Holiday Party.

Many members choose to contribute to the long-term success of Full Circle Fund by helping with new member recruitment and our organizational capacity building.

In addition, members are strongly encouraged to participate in one of our Circles, contribute to their Circle's grantmaking process, and follow through on commitments made to teammates and grantees.

Full Circle Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. IRS rules state that the amount of the contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of any money contributed over the value of the goods or services provided by Full Circle Fund. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowable by law, less $100 (individual) or $200 (couple) for meals and public-event discounts.

** Separate fee to participate in certain events.
