At a press conference in Oakland on January 14, Congresswoman Barbara Lee announced that she successfully secured $191,000 in federal funds for Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) for the enhancement of its IT systems.
Congresswoman Lee cited Full Circle Fund as an important contributor to obtaining the funding and gave her personal thanks to Full Circle Fund members Jeff Camp, chair of our Education Circle, and Cameron Jones, on the OUSD project team, for their efforts. Congratulations to all our members who have given their time, energy and skills towards the OUSD project and our friends at Oakland Unified!
Other key OUSD supporters in attendance included Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums; Vincent Matthews, OUSD’s State Administrator; and Greg Hodge, OUSD board member and long-time Full Circle Fund friend and advisor.
