A year of change, a year of growth, a year of new beginnings – what a difference 2007 made at Full Circle Fund!
Most significantly, we launched our first new issue-focused program since our inception, the Environment / Energy Circle at our 2007 Forum event. Through our effective model of engaged philanthropy, our members also produced significant results in our other Circles – education, affordable housing and technology.
To boost our capacity for community impact, since January of last year, we added 39 new members, 19 Community Fellows, three new staff - Jillian Misrack, Jonathan Kurshan, and Caroline Thompson - and also promoted Lauren Girardin.
Member Sam Long also gave a generous $50,000 matching challenge grant, contributing to the exponential growth of our family of investors and donors, which now includes the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund, The San Francisco Foundation and the Stuart Foundation.
Continuing our mission of cultivating community leaders, we energized a sold out crowd of nearly 600 power players to make a real difference at our 2007 Forum. The evening featured keynote speaker Vice President Al Gore and VIP Reception speaker Mayor Gavin Newsom. Check out photos, videos of speeches and more on our recap page.
Recently, we’ve diversified and strengthened our board, adding the fundraising savvy of Mike Anders, Goldman Sachs & Co.; the development skills of Kirsten Green, Forerunner Ventures; the public-sector talents of Judy Kleinberg, InSTEDD; and the legal expertise of Peter Werner, Cooley Godward Kronish. We’ve also infused more wisdom and experience with new advisors Dick Levy, Chairman, Varian Medical Systems and Russ Hall, Founder and CEO, Legacy Ventures.
We look forward to sharing even more good news about our community impact with you in 2008.
Thank you for your support,
The Board of Directors of Full Circle Fund
