The offices of one of Full Circle Fund’s amazing past Technology Circle grantees, Caminos Pathways Learning Center, was ravaged in a four-alarm fire in San Francisco’s Mission District last night.

Caminos is an outstanding nonprofit that works towards digital inclusion by training low-income Latina women to use technology and empower them to build living-wage careers within the information and technology sector.
Sister Petra Chavez, the founder of Caminos and an inspiring leader, sounds strong despite this sad event. Petra told me “We are grateful that everyone got out of the building safely…the fire fighters were still working there this morning, so we haven’t been able to get inside to assess the damage. I would be very surprised if anything could be salvaged.”
Once they have time to figure out what they most need, I’ll talk to Caminos more about how the Full Circle Fund community can further help their recovery (I imagine they might need computer hardware and software, and office space and supplies).
If you’d like to get involved beyond a donation, please email me and let me know what else you’d like to do to help - I’ll compile the information and give them Petra to help her manage all the offers.
