After several months of due diligence by members of the Technology Circle, the team has chosen the grantee finalists for the 2008/2009 grant year. This year’s grantees represent a diverse mix of nonprofits from new start-ups needing to build infrastructure toestablished organizations looking to expand into new areas.
Subject to Full Circle Fund board approval, the 2008/2009 Technology Circle grantees are:
>Spot.us - A startup organization pioneering a new marketplace for “community-funded journalism”. The Full Circle Fund team will help the organization examine the potential revenue streams of the web platform, now in beta, as well as assist in the organization’s infrastructure development.

>The Stride Center - A nonprofit social venture empowering economic self-sufficiency via training in the IT sector. The project will focus on expanding the Bay Area organization’s corporate employment program.

>Community Technology Network of the Bay Area (CTN) - Aiming to educate and empower under-served communities through computer access and training, the project team for CTN will continue for a second year.
