In January 2009, Full Circle Fund proudly welcomed twelve new Community Fellows to our organization. The Community Fellows Program, made possible by the generous support of Thomas and JaMel Perkins, is a two-year scholarship enabling exceptional leaders from the nonprofit and public sectors to participate as members of Full Circle Fund.
Fellows share their expertise with other Full Circle Fund members, enabling us to more effectively partner with our grantees. In turn, the program provides Fellows access to business expertise as well as opportunities for networking, leadership development, and community impact.
This dynamic group was welcomed (along with other members from the private sector who recently joined) at the New Member Orientation on January 14, generously hosted by Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. We can’t wait to see what outstanding contributions are made by the Community Fellows Class of 2009: Alli Chagi-Starr of Green for All (Environment/Energy), Wade Crowfoot of the City and County of San Francisco (Environment/Energy), Penny Dyer of Curriculum Design Institute (Education), Anne Emig of One Economy Corporation (Technology), Kjerstin Erickson of FORGE (Global Economic Opportunity), Emily Harpster of United Way of the Bay Area (Education), Amanda Levinson of Hope Street Group (Global Economic Opportunity), Salvador Menjivar of OneCalifornia Foundation (Global Economic Opportunity), Jason Trimiew of REDF (Global Economic Opportunity), Ryan Turner (Technology), Dion Ward of Northern California Grantmakers (Global Economic Opportunity) and Amy Zucchero of Women’s Funding Network (Education).
