Environment Circle Vice Chair Writes About Green Jobs on www.WhiteHouse.gov

Posted by Kari Nathon on February 26th, 2009

Greg Nelson is now working at the White House Office of Public Liaison, responsible for, among other things, the interface of the White House with the energy/environmental communities. Greg, a Full Circle Fund Member since 2005 and currently the Environment/Energy Circle Vice Chair, credits his work with Full Circle Fund and the Ella Baker Center’s Green Jobs project as part of the inspiration for his first posting on Whitehouse.gov, which focuses on green jobs. Greg writes,

“One of the centerpieces of President Obama’s agenda has been fulfilling the promise of green jobs — creating opportunities for the broadest range of Americans to participate in creating a new energy economy, while building a career that will support healthy families and communities. As the member of the Public Liaison team charged with reaching out to the environmental community, I’ve seen the level of excitement over this as something that used to seem like a fantasy becomes a top national priority.”
