Hanson Bridgett understands the importance of attracting and retaining great talent, cultivating strong leaders, and investing in our local community. That’s why this leading San Francisco-based law firm is partnering with Full Circle Fund. Recognized repeatedly for its commitment to the community, Hanson Bridgett seeks to match its leadership in the legal profession with active participation and leadership in the community.
This partnership is thanks to the leadership of Full Circle Fund member and Hanson Bridgett Partner, Scott Smith. A substantial portion of Scott’s practice focuses on sustainable businesses and he is part of the Environment/Energy Circle. Scott explained,
“As a law firm that cares tremendously about the communities where we work and live, Hanson Bridgett tries to find charitable and philanthropic opportunities that allow for deep, ongoing engagements with profound effects. Full Circle Fund presents just such an opportunity and our attorneys are thrilled to be involved. We are proud that our relationship is expanding in these challenging times and look forward to doing great things together in 2009.”
Involvement in Full Circle Fund’s engaged philanthropy model will enable Hanson Bridgett to inspire its rising stars and help them to develop stronger leadership and business skills. At the same time, it will stretch them to make a significant impact on our local and global community. In addition to a financial contribution, Hanson Bridgett will host Environment Circle meetings at their San Francisco office and is sponsoring two employees from the firm to become members of Full Circle Fund. So much interest has already been generated among the Hanson Bridgett team that there will be a competitive process to select the two representatives who will become Full Circle Fund members. This emphasis on employee engagement in activities that drive social change is just one example of the company’s commitment to community.
This green certified law firm has provided 50 years of legal counsel to purpose-driven companies, making it a natural fit with Full Circle Fund. Hanson Bridgett is one of only two law firms to win an Ebbie Award for Corporate Philanthropy and has been named one of the 50 Best Places To Work in the Greater Bay Area every year since 2004.
