Position Description
As an Operations and Development Consultant, you’ll implement impactful productivity and efficiency initiatives that help unlock value for the Full Circle Fund community. You’re a highly detail-oriented professional who is committed to scaling social impact and has a record of advising on and delivering high-quality operations, development, finance, gift and donor, and/or CRM technology services. In partnership with the Chief Operations Officer and a close-knit team, this person will play a key role in realizing FCF’s vision of unlocking $100M in generosity in the next five years for the social sector through scaling creative solutions, systems, processes with care and excellence.
Responsibilities
Development, Systems, and Administration (40%)

Streamline and manage the processing of donations, dues, grants, and gifts, including donor/Member records, acknowledgment letters, pledges, stocks, and bequests

Perform customer and user tests in a new Salesforce Lightning instance and payment processing applications

Create/update templates and collateral, e.g., donation forms, applications, acknowledgments, outreach emails
-
Create and oversee a grants management workstream from conceptualization to delivery, with a goal of continuous learning and adopting applicable best practices from industry or the social sector.

Help define technology sourcing strategies; collaborate on other donor stewardship and stakeholder engagement projects

Support mission-critical activities, including resource tracking, planning, monitoring and controls, etc.

Assist different functions, e.g., Business Development, Marketing, with processing incoming and outgoing mailings
Data & Database Management (40%)

Create and maintain data records in Salesforce Lightning and other databases
-
Collaborate with an external accountant/finance management firm to process accounts payable/accounts receivable and transaction closeout
-
Support the control and maintenance of financial data and oversee functions involving expense tracking, reimbursements

Support financial management, billing, and payment reporting processes

Document transactions in a timely manner with accuracy

Design, test, and pilot monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Proactively communicate status and progress against the organization's Objectives
and Key Results (OKRs), goals, or other benchmarks -
Define or improve core processes and relevant metrics
People Operations and Administration (20%)
-
Design, test, and deliver new capabilities to the team and community that help grow and protect our Members and partners’ trust

Respond to Member and donor communications, if applicable

Design, create, and send donation acknowledgment letters

Collaborate with Programs and Membership to manage event logistics, ticket sales, event collateral, etc.

Support cross-cutting organization initiatives, such as board governance, due diligence, compliance, risk management, monitoring and impact reports, tech/software adoptions and migrations, etc.

Contribute to the planning, curation, and execution of team events relating to social impact, corporate social responsibility, and/or inclusive workplace cultures

Other administrative responsibilities and other related job duties as assigned
What You Bring
Required
-
At least 5-7 years of operations, administration, development, fundraising, fintech, consulting, or other professional services experience
-
Demonstrated experience working for or with nonprofit organizations, philanthropies, foundations, or other social impact institutions
-
Technical experience using Salesforce CRM, payment processing solutions like Classy/WePay, Raiser’s Edge/DonorPerfect
-
High level of professionalism, good judgment, integrity, and authenticity
-
Excellent project management, time management, and organizational capabilities; the ability to lead, juggle,
and prioritize multiple projects -
An analytical mindset and the capacity to prioritize and manage change
-
Superior attention to detail
-
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
-
Exceptional communication skills for preparing reports and presenting recommendations and deliverables
-
Excellent problem-solving and relationship-building skills
-
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Preferred

Experience in project management software, e.g., Smartsheet

Understanding of grant-making/gift administration and the development lifecycle

A demonstrated interest in learning around issues of diversity, equity, and belonging
What We Offer

This is a part-time contractor position (20 hours per week) with compensation of $30/hour for a nine-month contract to start.

Flexible schedule and location available as needed. In light of the COVID-19 global health crisis, the person in this position will work remotely until it is safe to work in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area.
