Full Circle Fund Board Member Sarah Wigglesworth was featured this month in the San Francisco Magazine Power Issue article, "The Philanthropists," a spotlight on eleven bay area women "who exemplify the power—economic and otherwise—of social entrepreneurship, Bay Area style
."The article, written by Dorka Keen, recounts how, when new to the bay area five years ago, Sarah was eager to meet like-minded people, and attended a Full Circle Fund gathering. She was drawn to our highly leveraged, highly collaborative model. Not long after joining, Sarah co-founded our Global Economic Opportunity Circle, whose members have since contributed thousands of dollars and consulting time to La Cocina, Embrace, MESA, SIRUM, Self Help Micro Branch, IDEX, and Family Independence Initiative.
We'd like to thank and congratulate all the women featured, especially former Full Circle Fund speakers Kat Taylor of OnePacificCoast Foundation and Leila Janah of Samasource, as well as former grant partner Carla Javits, now of REDF, and friend of Full Circle Fund Alison Carlson. Thank you for your tireless efforts to make a positive impact on the Bay Area and the world!
