Jenn brings to bear a wide range of skills – strategic planning and analysis, program design and evaluation, capacity building, and communications – and a deep commitment to equality and social justice. She has a passion for bringing diverse perspectives to the table to understand issues, mobilize energy, co-develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in. Jenn has spent 20 years expanding educational opportunities for marginalized communities as a founding partner with The New Teacher Project, a nonprofit dedicated to improving teacher quality in underserved communities in the US, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda, and as a senior technical advisor to a USAID-funded education project in Indonesia, where she also lived. She has assessed, evaluated and designed education programs for developing countries throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America. More recently, Jenn spearheaded strategy and development for the education practice of one of the world’s largest NGOs and joined the board of Generation Schools Network, a nonprofit that specializes in turning around underperforming schools in the US. Jenn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from NYU and a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University. In her spare time, she volunteers with political action groups, travels, photographs, hikes and practices yoga.
