Cassie is committed to advancing social justice philanthropy, supporting emerging professionals in the social sector, and organizing Next Gen donors. She most recently worked in grants administration at Silicon Valley Community Foundation and co-led grantmaking at the McKenzie Foundation, a startup family foundation supporting youth mental health. She co-chairs the Bay Area chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP), a network for early and mid-career philanthropy professionals, and she volunteers with Resource Generation, a community that organizes young people with wealth and class privilege. Her other interests include longform journalism, comics and graphic novels, and the intersection of pop culture and social justice. Originally from the Bay Area, Cassie holds a B.A. in Psychology with a double minor in Social Studies of Medicine and Ethnic Studies from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
