Position Description

We are looking for an ambitious, creative, and strategic thinker-doer who is committed to scaling social impact to serve as a key member of our growing strategy and programs team. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Program Manager will co-design and lead the delivery of high-impact programs that realize our vision to invest $100M into the Bay Area nonprofit sector by 2025. This role will be instrumental in driving impact for Full Circle Fund and our nonprofit Grant Partners virtually and in-person when possible. 

Responsibilities

Program Management (70%)

  • Manage programming from conceptualization through delivery ensuring excellent participant experiences, impeccable project and people management, and continuous learning and program improvement, incorporating insights learned from our community on an ongoing basis 

  • Lead the execution of FCF’s annual grantmaking processes in alignment with principles of trust-based philanthropy

  • Manage grant partner portfolios and promote grant partner success during the FCF partnership and beyond

  • Facilitate the scoping, launch, and execution of nonprofit partnerships with teams of Members and other skilled volunteers

  • Manage participation of cross-functional staff, volunteers, and Board members in programs to ensure success

  • Facilitate meetings, educational training, and curated convenings for FCF stakeholder groups

  • Curate, source and manage speakers, facilitators, and other key partners for events

  • Document, track, and organize materials produced through all programs to build FCF’s institutional knowledge and create resources for volunteer teams and nonprofits

  • Track and report program-related information in Salesforce

  • Lead programmatic measurement and evaluation efforts to align outcomes with FCF’s theory of change and vision

  • Produce qualitative and quantitative impact metrics, creative briefs, written copy, stakeholder testimonials, and programs calendar information to inform member recruitment, marketing/communications, and fundraising efforts

 

Strategy & Design (20%)

  • Co-design programs, services, and experiences that reflect FCF values and center equity practices

  • Ensure high-quality engagements and measurable impact for FCF and our partners by
    helping set organizational and programmatic strategy

  • Take on special initiatives to advance FCF’s strategic priorities and theory of change

 

Identify & Build Strategic Relationships (10%)

  • Develop and actively cultivate relationships with FCF stakeholders, including community members and those in nonprofit, corporate, institutional philanthropic, or corporate social responsibility spheres

  • Represent FCF as a thought leader in philanthropy at relevant and high-impact community opportunities like conferences, speaking engagements, fundraisers, and academic offerings

What You Bring​

Required

  • At least 5-7 years of relevant professional, educational and/or lived experience 

  • Commitment to FCF’s mission and ongoing practice of growing and learning around issues of diversity, equity, and belonging

  • Ability to take calculated risks, learn from both successes and failures, and choose thoughtfully from a variety of approaches, styles, and tools

  • A leadership style that thrives in owning and managing projects, leading teammates through change, and prioritizing tasks

  • Direct experience with service/program design, experience/event design, and management

  • Enjoyment of managing and communicating with diverse and executive-level audiences

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, and experience delivering programming virtually

  • Commitment to help foster a culture of trust, authenticity, and continuous learning 

  • Comfortable working with various technologies including Google Drive, Slack, Zoom, and Smartsheet or other leading project management software 

  • Emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal communication skills, including giving and receiving feedback

  • Attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture

 

Preferred

  • Experience in and knowledge of the social impact landscape in the Bay Area

  • Ability to facilitate external events up to 1-2 evenings weekly on Tuesdays-Thursdays

  • Experience working with volunteers, fundraising, and/or philanthropy, corporate social responsibility

  • Experience in diversity, equity, and belonging concepts and practices

  • Experience in social impact evaluation

  • Experience in management/strategy consulting

What We Offer
  • This is a full-time exempt position (40 hours per week) with a salary range of $85,000-$100,000

  • Unlimited PTO and flexible schedule. In light of the COVID-19 global health crisis, the person in this position will work remotely until it is deemed safe to live and work full-time in the San Francisco Bay Area
