Full Circle Fund and #ImpactCloud Unite 11 Tech Companies to Drive Social Change
Leaders from Adobe, Amazon, Box, Chegg, DocuSign, Forge, Okta, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Splunk, and Twilio will work with nonprofits in a Tech Accelerator to create a lasting impact in the Bay Area
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., August 21, 2019 – Full Circle Fund, a nonprofit that leverages professionals’ time, resources, and skills to accelerate local nonprofits and build a better Bay Area, is announcing a new partnership with #ImpactCloud, a coalition of technology companies working together to drive digital transformation for social impact organizations.
Through this partnership, 22 tech executives from 11 Silicon Valley companies will join Full Circle Fund and provide hands-on expertise to accelerate three tech nonprofits offering innovative solutions for social good. In addition, the partnering companies Adobe, Amazon, Box, Chegg, DocuSign, Forge, Okta, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Splunk, and Twilio have each invested $15,000. Incorporating executive-level training on topics like power and privilege, the program is a first-of-its-kind engagement that will go beyond traditional skill-based volunteering. The Tech Accelerator round begins in September 2019.
“Full Circle Fund believes we all have a responsibility to serve our community. Strong, healthy nonprofits are a core part of building a region that is thriving and sustainable,” says Jay Hirschton, CEO at Full Circle Fund. “We bring together diverse teams across sectors—private, public, and nonprofit—to develop innovative solutions that address broader systemic social change. We are thrilled to have these companies supporting our cause.”
Of the 11 participating software companies, seven are #ImpactCloud members—Box, DocuSign, Okta, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Splunk, and Twilio. In addition, Adobe, Amazon, Chegg, and Forge joined as partners in the endeavor. The combination of specialized expertise and unrestricted funds raised by the network will provide the nonprofits with the resources to grow and scale.
“Full Circle Fund was a game-changer. Our mobile app WorkIt supports people working in low-wage hourly jobs. As a result of going through the Tech Accelerator, we saw a nearly 300% increase in download conversions. The collaboration exceeded my expectations, and as a result, more men and women received timely advice about their workplace rights," says Catherine Huang, Chief Technology Officer at United for Respect.
