Delivering Transformative Programs

By Eva Lum Camp, Interim Executive Director/CEO, Full Circle Fund

I became a member of Full Circle Fund about twenty years ago when our family had just moved to the Bay Area. Frankly, at the time I was mainly looking for a way to meet inspiring, positive-minded people. I didn’t quite expect it to be life-changing, but there it is.

There are big problems in the world. Doom and gloom dominate the news, and it can be hard to overlook the tremendous positive work people and organizations are doing to make things better. By being involved in Full Circle Fund for two decades, I have enjoyed the opportunity to be (a small) part of the solution. Like many members, I have fond memories of working on projects, forming friendships, and being inspired by passionate nonprofit leaders. I joined Full Circle Fund’s board because I believe the work of connecting professionals and their skills to nonprofits is critical to providing more resources to these nonprofit leaders and their organizations.

Navigating the past two years with the pandemic has been challenging for so many people and so many organizations. And while Full Circle Fund has not been immune to that, I am super proud of what the Full Circle Fund community has been able to accomplish together. Quickly pivoting to a virtual model, we supported 16 nonprofit Grant Partners through the work of 113 volunteer Members last year. Many of these projects were through our Corporate Nonprofit Accelerator program, which helps companies leverage their employees’ skills and knowledge, and philanthropic dollars, directly to organizations serving our communities. All work done in the Full Circle Fund way—working collaboratively and respectfully between professionals from diverse backgrounds.

As Interim Executive Director, I am looking forward to working with the staff to continue delivering these transformative programs that connect individuals, companies, and nonprofits together while we conduct a search for our next Executive Director/CEO.
