Beyond 12’s Alex Bernadotte Named Ashoka Fellow, Honored With Jefferson Award

We are delighted to congratulate Alex Bernadotte, Founder & CEO of Beyond 12 (an Education Circle grant partner) for being awarded a Jefferson Award for Public Service and for being featured on CBS News for her global philanthropic work.

The Jefferson Awards are presented to ordinary people who do extraordinary things. By honoring the recipients, it is the goal of the Jefferson Awards to inspire others to become involved in community and public service. Past recipients include Bill & Melinda Gates, Lance Armstrong, and Oprah Winfrey. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr. and Sam Beard founded the American Institute for Public Service to establish the Jefferson Award, a Nobel Prize for Public and Community Service.Earlier this year, Alex was also named an Ashoka Fellow. We're proud that Full Circle Fund's Education Circle was able to support Beyond 12's work in its early stages of development, and are excited to see what's next. Congratulations, Alex!
