Full Circle Fund Alumna Needs Our Help!
Michelle Shutzer, a Full Circle Fund Technology Circle alumna has been battling stage IV colon cancer since summer 2010.
Full Circle Fund recently learned through fellow Alumnus and former Technology Circle Chair Marc Smolowitz that she is in dire need of financial help to continue treatment and pay for the mounting medical costs. The situation is escalating rapidly and has put Michelle, her husband, and family at tremendous financial risk. This is incredibly sad news, but we also have a way you can take action!
According to Marc, a group of concerned friends and community members are leading the charge to raise funds to help, and have raised over $12K so far through the crowdfunding platform Fundly. There’s a challenge grant in place whereby if another $10,000 is raised by September 15, the amount will be matched!Visit http://fundly.com/michelleisamiracle to contribute. The initial campaign goal is $20K, but Michelle's overall need stretches far and above that amount.“
Michelle is a shining example of the type of engaged and generous leader that makes our Full Circle Fund community so unique, and she needs us now,” Marc shared, “Folks are contributing at whatever level makes sense for them at this time, and every bit can help make a difference,” he added.Michelle was also a former Full Circle grant partner, via her work at The Stride Center.
