Two standout leaders were honored at our December 12 year-end holiday party: Krista Van Tassel received Full Circle Fund’s 2012 Member of the Year award and Tanya Marston was announced as our inaugural Alumna of the Year. The women were selected for these top honors based on their active participation, growth as leaders, and contributions to Full Circle Fund and the greater community.
By day, Krista works at Wells Fargo as the Environmental Affairs Team Member Engagement Manager. She has been an active member since Fall 2010. She stepped up to a leadership role this year as an incredible leader of the MESA grant engagement.
Tanya Marston is currently a Marketing Program Manager at Abbot Downing, and has been involved with Full Circle Fund since Spring 2010, having led the very successful IDEX grant engagement in 2011. Tanya was unable to accept in person, but shared,"I am deeply honored to be selected for this award and regret that I couldn't be with everyone that evening. Thank you to Full Circle Fund's leadership and GEO Circle. It has been great staying engaged with the organization and its terrific network of grantees and members."
Krista and Tanya join the ranks of previous honorees including GEO Grant Cycle Director Joe Kleinschmidt (2011), Environment/ Energy Co-Chair Braden Penhoet (2010), GEO Grant Cycle Director Annette Brinton (2009), Greg Nelson (2008) who is now working in the White House Office of Public Engagement as the Associate Director for Energy, Environment, and Technology, Melanie Nutter (2007), who is now the Director of the San Francisco Office of the Environment, and software developer, entrepreneur, start-up adviser, and angel investor Dave McClure (2006).
Congratulations and thank you, Krista and Tanya! View more photos from the event.
