On October 22, Full Circle Fund co-hosted its Inaugural Grant Partner Idea Lab with The San Francisco Foundation, where guests got to hear from our Grant Partners about a specific issue area and select a “working session” spearheaded by expert ideation facilitators.
The evening kicked off with a networking hour, great wine, delicious food, and a packed room of almost 100 of our most active and enthusiastic friends -- along with representatives from each Grant Partner, who spent a few minutes reviewing their organization's mission, work, and problem area. These areas ranged from board development to organizational development and marketing pitches.
After each partner presented, all attendees had the choice to select which organization they wanted to collaborate with that night in a two-hour breakout session. (Our most commonly-echoed praise for the event was how eye-opening and exciting it was to collaborate with a new team for one night!) and by the end of the night, each group presented demo-style wrap up. The impact was astounding!
We're very thankful to our network and to The San Francisco Foundation for making this first-of-its-kind event for us such a success (did we mention a record-setting 97% show rate?!). We can't wait to host more innovative events that allow for such thought-provoking and meaningful collaboration between our Members, Grant Partners, and network of supporters.
