Ron Turiello co-founded and is President and COO of the Voter Genome Project, a full service technology and analytics firm that applies leading-edge technology to perform real-time data mining and help progressive candidates and causes win. Prior to founding the Voter Genome Project, Ron was the senior IP and technology transactions attorney in the Palo Alto office of Skadden Arps where he served as outside intellectual property counsel to numerous technology companies. He also continues to advise high tech companies on intellectual property issues, serving as of counsel to Woodside Counsel, PC. From 2007 until 2010 Ron was the General Counsel and Director of Business Development for Intelligent Integration Systems, Inc.. Ron is the Chairman of the Advisory Board for New Leaders for New Schools, Bay Area. Ron has been active in Democratic politics for 20 years, first as a senior campaign organizer for former U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas, as field director for Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, and as campaign manager for Syracuse, NY City Council President Bob Romeo and more recently raising money for progressive candidates. Ron is a graduate of Boston University (B.A. in Urban Political Development) and Cornell Law School.
