Sarah is the Co-Chair of the Global Economic Opportunity Circle. She has been interested in global issues since a high-school exchange trip to China, and in economic opportunity since personally participating in the first years of economic transition after the collapse of the Soviet bloc. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2007, Sarah has gotten more interested in local and community issues, and is very excited about the GEO Circle's three initial projects. Sarah worked as a management consultant for 10 years, with a focus on strategy and organizational performance. She has also worked in IT business development in Central Europe and venture finance in Central Asia. Sarah holds an AB in Soviet Studies from Harvard/Radcliffe Colleges and an MIA in International Business from SIPA at Columbia University. She enjoys books, food, and being outdoors, and lives in San Francisco with her husband and two young sons.
