Thea Nilsson is Community Outreach Manager for Microsoft Silicon Valley. She received a bachelor's degree in communications from University of California, Davis, with a minor in contemporary leadership, graduating in 2009. While at UC Davis, Thea served as vice president of the Golden Key Internal Honor Society and co-founded the Microlending Club while interning with Campus Kiva. Thea has worked on the corporate citizenship and philanthropy team at Microsoft since 2010. Prior to joining Microsoft, Thea interned at Technology Crossover Ventures and Synopsys. Her favorite volunteer experiences have been coaching a social action team of middle school girls with Girls For A Change, and tutoring English language learners through Building Skills Partnership.
