2015 Grant Partner Spotlight: College Track
As we approach our October 15th RISE celebration, we will highlight some of the incredible individuals and nonprofits that we have partnered with over the past 15 years.
"In San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood, less than 1 in 20 students graduate high school eligible for college."
College Track is a national college completion non-profit that empowers students from underserved communities to graduate from college. Their 10-year program removes the barriers that prevent students from earning their college degree by providing them with academic support, leadership training, financial and college advising, and scholarships.
Since opening its doors in San Francisco in 2007, 95% of College Track high school graduates have enrolled in college. Full Circle Fund aims to further support this success through our 2015 Grant Partnership with College Track. Since May, Full Circle Fund Members, led by Eve Bostick and Kevin Perkins, have been partnering with College Track Site Director, Jonathan Beauford to develop of a financial literacy curriculum to pilot in their San Francisco site, which primarily serves the Bayview Hunters Point, Visitacion Valley/Sunnydale, and the Mission/Excelsior neighborhoods. To stay updated on their progress, keep an eye on their partnership page here.
