Miki Yamamoto

Miki has spent the last 10 years working to develop novel cancer drugs, by designing and implementing regulatory strategies for global and startup biotechnology companies. As a board member of Young Women Social Entrepreneurs -San Francisco Chapter, a nonprofit organization that connects Bay Area women passionate about social impact, Miki oversaw the monthly event programming and annual retreat in 2016 and led the board as co-chair in 2017. She is committed to promoting health, nutrition and economic opportunity locally and abroad, is a certified Food Literacy Educator, and has been an enthusiastic volunteer for Project Open Hand, Curry Senior Center, and Habitat for Humanity. Miki received her undergraduate degree in Genetics and Cell Biology from Washington State University and PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from University of California, Berkeley.
