Madeline Vann

Maddie is the Community and Communications Manager for Legacy Venture, a Palo Alto venture capital Fund of Funds with over 500 investors who intend that all returns, both principal and gains, will be used for their individual philanthropic interests. Prior to her time at Legacy, she worked as the Admissions and Communications Manager for Synapse School, a nonprofit K-8 independent school in Menlo Park focused on fully integrating social emotional learning into its neuroscience-based curriculum. After a few years in the nonprofit sector, Maddie made a switch to Corporate Social Responsibility and worked in Employee Engagement and Global Giving for NetApp before joining Legacy. Among many other philanthropic interests, Maddie is especially passionate about K-12 education, child development, support for at-risk youth, and access to the arts. In her free time she volunteers with CASA of San Mateo County as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. She earned her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Humanities from the University of San Diego and her C.N.P. through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
