Robin Pendoley

Robin believes the more equitable, just, and sustainable world we all want needs better agents of change. His expertise and career are rooted in developing these leaders. After diving deep into the history of social justice and community development theory and practice, he realized his passion for helping others pursue critical consciousness. Robin found his way to a Master's in Education, studying the power of pedagogy to creating humanizing relationships for students with themselves, others, and the world. Filled with passion and a commitment to key principles for liberatory education and how it can change society, he entered the classroom as a teacher and administrator in public schools.

Soon, the structural and political limitations of public schools proved to be too restrictive, and Robin set out to co-found Thinking Beyond Borders (TBB). This educational institution served as a venue to bring the educational and social impact principles Robin studied for nearly two decades into action. Over 13 years, he invited adolescents, their families, educators, and community partners from around the world into the international education programs TBB offered, facilitating a constant evolution of the programs. Robin is proud of the truly transformative learning programs the TBB community created and supported. In 2018, Robin transitioned out of leadership at TBB and is currently seeking the next opportunity to support the development of critically conscious social impact leaders.
