Projects and Grants

At Full Circle Fund, we create a pool of talented professionals ready to leverage their skills and funds to support local organizations.

Our Projects & Grants Cycle fills a special niche: we bring together cross-sector professionals in collaborative, strategic, pro-bono projects that achieve results, for and with, nonprofits.

How It Works

Each Full Circle Fund nonprofit grantee partner is matched with a Full Circle Fund Project Team who works with the nonprofit to work on specific, strategic goals or deliverables. Project commitment is typically 3-4 months and Project Teams include 3-6 volunteer members.

Most of our volunteer Project Team members also hold day-jobs. So, the time commitment is designed to fit around working people’s schedules.

Full Circle Fund provides the scoping, structure, intensive training and opportunity. We interview, recruit and train the high-level volunteers ready to join strategic projects with nonprofits.

After our Project Teams launch with the selected organizations, we continue to provide the structure, support and ongoing training.

A Deeper Dive:

  • Potential nonprofit partners are identified through a combination of open inquiry applications, individual invitation, and nomination by our Full Circle Fund members and prior nonprofit grantees. Learn about our equity-focused nonprofit grantee selection process and our Grantee Selection Team.

  • Once projects are scoped, we invite members of our dynamic pool of skilled volunteers to apply for a project team. Our staff coordinates recruitment and onboarding of teams to make for a successful experience.

Each Project Teams consists of 3-6 volunteers working with their nonprofit partner to achieve the specified infrastructure goals. Most Projects run 3-4 months. All time commitments are designed for people who are currently working (can fit with a day-job!).

We run a series of workshops with all Project Team members to support success. Past workshops have included Kick-off, Midpoint, and Wrap Up, as well as “Developing your Systems Lens” and “Power & Privilege.”

  • To our nonprofit partners, Full Circle Fund often provide financial grant as well as the skilled team. These grants are issued from our Full Circle Fund Impact Pool, formed through member donations and sponsors.

We typically offer 2 Project/Grant cycles each year, with 3-4 nonprofit grantee partners.
